Christmas card

Found some of my drawings and paintings i did when I was a child and in school.  My family always painted our own cards for family and friends at Christmas and Easter.  This is a card I was probably trying out.  It's done in oil pastel crayon colors.

Suffering Savior

This painting is one of many of the face of Christ done by my mother, Yvonne Pereira.  Her parish priest chose this one for himself.

I love this painting, it's so beautiful and it really shows the sadness and suffering that Jesus is going through for us.

Face of Jesus

This is a painting done by my mother, Yvonne.  Her parish priest wanted her to paint the face of Christ for him so she did quite a few paintings.  My mom used to be an art and craft teacher in Mumbai.  She met my dad Maurice at art school while he studied fine art.  My mom used to sell her paintings while she was in her teens.  She also used to do cake decorations for weddings and centre pieces.  She had a stroke two years ago but is back to painting and doing craft.  When I was a child, mom would spend time with us teaching me and my sisters crafts. I learned knitting, embroidery; we used to make Christmas decorations and sell them, foil figures, paper mache, flowers.  I learned so much from her and I love doing all kinds of crafts because of her but I wish I had taken drawing and painting lessons from her and dad.
