Keep Christ in Christmas

Why should we say Happy Holidays?  On TV they say 'Happy Hannukah' and 'Happy Diwali' Why is it when it comes to Christmas it is not politically correct to say 'Merry Christmas'?  Christmas is the birth of Christ and nothing can change that so it's 'Merry Christmas' with a capital 'C'

I wish You Jesus

Here's another song i did on the keyboard for St.Clare's school choir.  The words are just so beautiful. You can listen to my recording by clicking on the link
http://www.zshare.net/audio/90680103adfbcfd0/
 I WISH YOU JESUS.

I could wish you joy and peace

to last your whole life long.

I could wish you sunshine

or a cheerful little song.

I wish you all the happiness

that this life could bring.

But I wish you Jesus (x3 ) more than anything.

                                 2

I could wish you leaves of gold

or may your path be smooth

I could wish you treasures

so that all your dreams come true.

I wish you all the paradise

 that every day be free.

But I wish you Jesus ( x3 )  more than anything.

For when I wish you Jesus I wish you everything.

My Life is available to you

I recorded this song 'My life is available to you' (by Bishop T.D. Jakes)  for our St. Clare's elementary school choir where I volunteer with the choir .http://www.zshare.net/audio/891879980391cb8f/ . When you arrive on the page do not click play (that is for videos) , the music will play. I've used our school keyboard and recorded the tracks and then played live on the piano when the choir sang. I had been to the Toronto mass Choir Power Up Gospel Music Workshop with our youth choir and we learned this song and sang it at the concert on the final day. Here are the lyrics; I think they are beautiful
Holy, Lord You're holy.
Holy, Lord You're holy.
Worthy, Lord You're worthy.
Worthy, Lord You're worthy.

Chorus 1
And I'll praise You Lord,
for You are my strength and reward.
I'm lost without You,
Your love pulls me through,
my life is available to You.

Verse 2
Awesome, Lord You're awesome.
Awesome, Lord You're awesome.
Righteous, Lord You're righteous.
Righteous, Lord You're righteous.

Chorus 1

Chorus 2
And I'll serve You Lord,
for You are my strength and reward.
I'm lost without You,
Your love pulls me through,
my life is available to You.

Hallelujah - Easter version by Kelley Mooney

i love this version of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.  It tells the story of the passion, death and resurrection of our Lord, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guhr0Vh2hE0  Here are the lyrics:
Lyrics To Hallelujah by Kelly Mooney
Adapted to the music of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah

A crown of thorns placed on His head
He knew that He would soon be dead
He said did you forget me Father did you?
They nailed Him to a wooden cross
Soon all the world would feel the loss
Of Christ the King before His Hallelujah

Hallelujah x4

He hung His head and prepared to die
Then lifted His face up to the sky
Said I am coming home now Father to you
A reed which held His final sip
Was gently lifted to his lips
He drank His last and gave His soul to glory

Hallelujah x4

The soldier who had used his sword
To pierce the body of our Lord
Said truly this is Jesus Christ our Savior
He looked with fear upon his sword
Then turned to face his Christ and Lord
Fell to his knees crying Hallelujah

Hallelujah x4

Took from his head the thorny crown
And wrapped him in a linen gown
And laid him down to rest inside the tomb
The holes in his hands, his feet and side
Now in our hearts we know he died
To save us from ourselves oh hallelujah

Hallelujah x4

Three days went by again they came
To move the stone to bless the slain
With oil and spice anointing hallelujah
But as they went to move the stone
They saw that they were not alone
But Jesus Christ has risen Hallelujah

Hallelujah x4
Hallelujah x4

Pencil Art - so beautiful, just had to share it!

THESE ARE JUST PENCILS!   A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL 5 IMPORTANT LESSONS JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX :

1.) EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK.

2.) YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.

3.) WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.

4.) IN LIFE, YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS,
WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.

5.) TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF
TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.
We all need to be constantly sharpened. This parable may encourage you to know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and abilities.  Only you can fulfill the purpose which you were born to accomplish. Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil, always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what's inside of you.

Handpainted Bookmarks

My mother has painted these bookmarks in acrylic paint and hand written inspirational quotes or verses from scripture.  I'm so proud of her; inspite of the stroke she had two years ago, she paints and still loves to do crafts.  These bookmarks are laminated so they will last.  They are for sale at $5 each.

Christmas card

Found some of my drawings and paintings i did when I was a child and in school.  My family always painted our own cards for family and friends at Christmas and Easter.  This is a card I was probably trying out.  It's done in oil pastel crayon colors.
